Maulana Nadvi lost the battle but won the War

Guess who is RSS’s most favourite MP? PM Modi of course. But who is the next, and you will be surprised that he is a Muslim. No, not Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi who can never muster even a thousand Muslim votes on his own anywhere in India. Need a clue? The one who was one of the two most courageous members of All India Muslim Personal Law Board till a couple of days ago. And now he is the only candidate for outspokenness in the Board as the other one has been expelled from the Board. The winner who is a Member of Parliament too has branded the expelled Maulana Syed Salman Nadvi, an agent of Prime Minister Modi. RSS loves the MP because each word of bravery he utters, ensures the transfer of a large number of peace loving Hindus from a liberal Hinduism to the Fascist Hindutva.

The point of contention between the winner and loser was, now non-existent Babri Mosque. The MP supports the wishful thinking of all powerful self-appointed AIMPLB members that once Supreme Court of India awards the site of the demolished Babri Masjid to Muslims, they will build a grand mosque there where thousands of Muslims will offer prayer five times a day. They expect to reverse the trend of 1992 when Allahabad High Court’s status quo direction to the state and Supreme Court’s order of only Kar Seva at the site, became meaningless. The two Honourable Courts could not impose their directives but that was 1992. Now, the Board is of the view that the times have changed and the Supreme Court will repent its sin and will supervise the construction of the most grand mosque in the world and that victory of Truth will taunt forever, the dreams of Hindutva forces to build a Ram Mandir there.

The three times Member of Parliament won the battle within AIMPLB and Maulana Salman Nadvi had to lose its membership.

Maulana had no alternative. He had to think of the safety of the Muslim masses as the Ram Mandir issue had been the most potent weapon of Hindutva forces in their plan to declare the country a Hindu Rashtra, in which according to second Sarsangh Chalak and the main think tank of RSS, The Christians and Muslims will forfeit their right of citizenship if they do not merge their cultural identity with that of Hindutva philosophy.

Being a Renowned Muslim Religious Scholar, Maulana would also have thought of Muslims turning back from Hudaibiya, leaving 360 idols in Kaabah on Allah’s command as the lives of a handful of secret Muslims in Makkah would have endangered in case of clash, though Allah SWT also mentioned that in case of a conflict Muslims would have won hands down and sanctity of Kaabah would have been restored. But Allah SWT knew that the atmosphere of peace and agreement that seemed a defeat to the companions of the Prophet S.A.W. would ensure victory in future. Allah S.W.T. had termed that agreement and going back to Madina, a victory.

And lastly Maulana would also have thought of his mentor late Maulana Syed Ali Mian who in 1989 had talked to the Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati of Kanchi when the Shankaracharya had agreed to a settlement in which the entire built portion of the mosque along with a space for ablution (Wudhu) would have been given to Muslims in lieu of their consent to construct the Ram Mandir on the remaining vacant property. Maulana Ali Mian had to back out in the face of the opposition of a notorious Babri Masjid Action Committee and a powerful Muslim Personal Law Board, though he himself was the president of the Board. Maulana Salman Nadvi this time decided not to succumb to the pressure.
